The Parkway
Nestled under the Wollongong escarpment and 5 minutes from The Parkway, are 13 hectares of gardens and Illawarra rainforest. You can enjoy peace and quiet amongst colourful rhododendrons, vireyas, azaleas, magnolias and other exotic and native companion plants.
The gardens are also a haven for wildlife; a diverse range of birds, frogs, water dragons and echidnas are just a few of the regular visitors.
There are picnic facilities and a series of brick and grass paths meandering around the lake and up the slopes to the Rainforest Gardens.
Hike along steeper bush tracks through the endangered Illawarra escarpment rainforest. Visit the May Barrie sculpture near large red cedars and a huge Fig.
